Dog and puppy training

Zaira is training Shadow in the park

Using positive, reward-based, fun and kind training methods, we will be teaching your dog desirable behaviours, whilst deepening your bond and strengthening your relationship.

We will be paying close attention to your dog's emotional well-being. Keeping in mind your dog's point of view, we will find "solutions" where both your and your dog’s needs will be met.

These are 121 sessions. The initial consultation will be an hour and a half long and will take place in your home. Following sessions will be an hour long and will take place either in your home, outdoors or a combination of both.

You will receive a follow-up email after every session and support in between sessions.

Pre-puppy (or dog) preparation

These are 121 sessions that will help you be prepared for your new arrival and ensure a pleasant, stress-free transition, both for you and your new puppy (or dog).

We will be thinking about what changes you might need to make at home, what equipment you will need, what to do during the first few weeks to help your puppy (or dog) settle in their new environment and start off in the best way possible.

We will be covering topics such as play, sleep and toilet training, play biting management, socialization, communication and much more!

Child-dog interaction

As well as being a professional dog trainer, I have a degree in child psychology and an extensive experience of and passion for working with children of all ages, including with additional needs.

These are specialized 121 sessions in which I teach dogs and children to build a relationship based on mutual respect and trust.

I will be teaching your children about dog communication and body language, guiding them in how to interact with the dog in a clear, safe and respectful way, and providing your dog with strategies to help them cope when things get a bit intense or overwhelming.

I also offer sessions for families with children that are about to welcome a new dog, or for families with a dog that are about to welcome a baby, to ensure a pleasant, stress-free transition.

Training walks

We will be working on behaviours your dog might benefit from learning or practicing whilst ensuring he/she has lots of fun too!

Dog walking

I offer 121 dog walks or walks in small groups.

Small groups are made of no more than 3 dogs who are compatible with one another, to ensure each dog has an enjoyable experience and can benefit from the attention he/she deserves. Enrichment and training activities are an integral part of the walks.

Puppy visits
