I am here to help you connect with your dog on a deeper level while working towards the achievement of your training needs.

My dog training philosophy.

I believe training, when done in a fun and positive way, promotes the development of a language that both you and your dog can share and establishes mutual respect, trust and understanding.

This will strengthen the bond between you and your dog and will foster a profound relationship based on love, collaboration and cooperation - training is team work.

Working successfully on the connection between our dogs and ourselves is vital. That's why it is so important that we learn to effectively communicate with our dogs, and that we guide and teach them whilst truly understanding their experience, respecting their individuality and fulfilling their needs.

When we take the time to get to know our dogs, to read their body language, to understand how they learn, to see the world from their point of view, we set the stage for successful learning.

Training effectively bridges the gap between your dog needs and wants and your needs and wants, giving us a chance to focus on what we would like your dog to do: by teaching your dog alternative behaviours to perform instead of the ones that we, as humans, view as problematic, we will empower your dog and help you live a happy life together.

Training will provide your dog with the tools and confidence he/she needs to navigate our domestic environment, to build social skills, to manage spaces and resources, and to make "good choices".

From reasoning to problem solving, training will also help your dogs refine a variety of cognitive skills, providing them with plenty of mental stimulation, thus enriching their life.

The great majority of dogs respond extremely well to positive training, which is proven to be more effective and safe than traditional obedience training. Very occasionally, highly reactive or aggressive dogs require specialist attention from a behaviourist, vet or vet behaviourist – if this turns out to be the case for you, I will provide referrals to a number of appropriate experts for this.

I couldn’t be more satisfied and happy with Zaira! Professional and caring, she helped me a lot to understand my puppy’s needs and she trained her (and me) with so much love and patience! My little Aimi and I simply love her! Can’t thank her enough. I absolutely recommend her!
