Zaira with two dogs in the park

Hi, my name is Zaira.

I am an experienced and VSA certified dog trainer.

Both in training and dog walking, I use fun, positive, reward-based and kind techniques based on modern science and research. These are proven to be effective, safe and to have long-lasting results.

I will support you and your dog with empathy, skills and experience gained through my psychology degree, many years spent raising and training rescue dogs and  many more working with (human) children and their families, and a lifelong love of animals and their well-being.

I continuously improve my standards by attending courses and seminars in order to stay up to date with the latest research and scientific knowledge about the most effective ways to teach dogs and to communicate with them.

Bilingual English and Italian.

Toby the dog
My dog Toby absolutely loves Zaira. He is a lovely rescue who has been really hard to train for recall. We have at last cracked it working with Zaira. Her calm and patient way with Toby and her clear instructions to me mean that Toby now comes reliably when I use the whistle when he is off the lead - now doing some training walks to make sure the recall sticks whatever the environment!
